Description:
01.Trichloro-tert-butanol is a preservative, sedative, hypnotic and weak local anesthetic, with antibacterial and bacteriostatic effects.
02.There are two kinds of crystals, including semi-molecular crystalline water type and anhydrous type. Containing half molecular crystalline water type melting point 78ºC, slightly soluble in water (1:250), easily soluble in ethanol (1:1), glycerol (1:10), ether, chloroform and volatile oil.
03.The melting point of anhydrous type is 97ºC, and the boiling point of Chemicalbook is 167ºC and 135ºC (32.7kPa). Soluble in hot water, 1g can be dissolved in 1ml ethanol or 10ml glycerol, soluble in ether, petroleum ether, acetone, chloroform, glacial acetic acid, oil. It is easy to sublimate when heated and can evaporate with water vapor. Smells like camphor.
Function:
01.Trichloro-tert-butanol is mainly used as pharmaceutical raw materials, and can be used to make anti-corrosion drugs, anti-emetic drugs, and local analgesics. Its 1% aqueous solution or 5%-10% ointment can be sterilized. It can also be used in organic synthesis.
02.From the reaction of acetone and chloroform: chloroform and acetone are added to the reaction pot according to the ratio of 1:0.5, cold to 8ºC, stirring slowly add potassium hydroxide, control the temperature does not exceed 15ºC. After adding, keep stirring at the same temperature for 2h, discharge and filter, and concentrate the filtrate until there is no liquid dripping out of the distillation Chemicalbook.
