Description:
Sodium stearyl fumarate is the reaction of stearyl alcohol with maleic anhydride, the reaction product is isomerized into salt, and then sodium stearyl fumarate is obtained. Sodium stearfumarate is a hydrophilic lubricant, which is used as a lubricant for Chemicalbook in pharmaceutical excicients. It can overcome many problems related to magnesium stearate, such as the main drug being affected, excessive lubrication; Forming a protective film in effervescent tablets can improve disintegration and promote dissolution, thus improving bioavailability.
Uses:Sodium stearfumarate: used as a lubricant for tablets and capsules, the usual dosage is 0.5 ~ 2.0%, it is also used in some foods. It is a hydrophilic lubricant, soluble in water, but its solubility is significantly affected by the water temperature, and the solubility is very small in 25ºC water, and white floater (sodium stearfumarate) will appear on the surface of the efferent solution with a slightly larger dosage, affecting the appearance and taste of the solution.
