Features:
01.Nafcillin sodium (CL 8491) reversibly inhibits beta-lactamase with Kd of 33 mM.
02.Nafcillinsodium inactivates β-lactamase by forming a covalent acylase intermediate with Ser-70. At concentrations above 80mM, Nafcillin showed complete inhibition of beta-lactamase within 200 seconds. By removing excess NChemicalbookafcillin, the inhibited enzyme can be fully reactivated with a rate constant of 2×10Nafcillinsodium active against penicillin-resistant staphylococcus. In vitro, the minimum required concentration with anti-staphylococcal activity ranges from 0.2 µg/ml to 2 µg/ml.
